ALS Scandinavia is a part of the ALS Laboratory Group, and provides services in analytical chemistry. Application areas include industry, research, environment, working environment, and medicine.

ALS Scandinavia has one laboratory in Luleå, Sweden, which is specialized in elements and isotopes, and one in Täby near Stockholm, where particle and materials analyses are carried out. Täby is also a center for marketing and trading activities. The head office is located in Luleå. In addition, ALS Scandinavia has sales offices in Gothenburg, Oslo (Norway), and Copenhagen (Denmark).

ICP techniques, i e emission and mass spectrometry using an inductively coupled plasma, is the core of our activities. Analyses are also done by other techniques such as Atomic Fluorescence (AFS) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM-EDS).

Determinations of metals in low concentrations are often associated with rigorous demands for cleanliness in sample handling. ALS Scandinavia's new (built in 2002) laboratory has been constructed with emphasis on preventing contamination by using clean room and clean lab technology.
